Montana cans marble effect
KSh 2,000.00
A spray paint that creates a realistic marble look with fine veins and webs of colour. It emits paint in fine threads that partly cover the surface, so the colour underneath shows through. Matte finish, high covering, and quick drying. A 400ml can.
Description
Marble veining, straight from the can
Montana Marble Effect doesn’t spray like ordinary paint. Instead of an even mist, it throws out fine fibres and filaments of colour that land on the surface as thin, web-like lines. They only partly cover the surface, so the colour underneath still shows through, and together they form the veined pattern of natural marble.
Spray it from a distance for the most realistic result. The further the can is from the surface, the finer and more natural the veining looks. Every piece comes out slightly different, just as real marble does. It’s a quick way to give plain surfaces the look of polished stone without any hand-painting.

How to use
- Prepare the surface. It should be clean, dry, and free of dust and grease.
- Paint the surface with a base colour, such as Montana GOLD, and let it dry. A strong contrast between the base and the marble colour gives the best effect. White marble on black is a classic.
- Shake the can very well for 2 to 3 minutes, so the contents are fully mixed.
- Test on a spare surface before you start.
- Spray from a distance of 50cm or more, in light passes. The further you spray from, the finer and more natural the veining looks.
- Layer in more passes to build up the pattern, and fill in any empty areas.
- Leave to dry. It’s dust dry in about 10 minutes and touch dry in about 60 minutes, and it’s fully cured after 24 hours.
- For extra protection against the elements, seal the finished piece with varnish.
Tips for better results
- Choose a base colour that contrasts with the marble colour. White on black, or gold on black, looks the most dramatic.
- Spray in short, light bursts, and go over the surface a few times rather than spraying heavily in one place.
- If the can spits fibres unevenly, move further back, and keep the can moving.
- Combine two marble colours, such as white and gold, for richer veining.
- Work in a well-ventilated space, and protect the surrounding area from overspray.
- After use, turn the can upside down and spray briefly until it runs clear, to keep the nozzle from clogging.
- Store the can upright in a cool place, away from heat.
- The marble effect comes from fine threads of paint. It’s meant to look uneven and natural, so it won’t cover the surface like a regular spray.
- Always wear protective clothing, a mask, and gloves, and use it in a well-ventilated area.
- Test on a hidden area first to check it’s compatible with the surface.
- Spray paint is a hazardous item. Follow the safety instructions on the can.
- Keep out of reach of young children.
