Montana BLACK is a graffiti spray paint built for speed. The high-pressure valve pushes out a lot of paint, so you can fill big surfaces fast, and the highly pigmented formula covers in few passes. It dries quickly to a matte finish, so you can layer and overlap colours almost straight away.

The paint is based on a nitro-combination lacquer, which is optimised for fast painting and layering. It’s weather-resistant and winterproof, so it holds up on outdoor walls and exposed surfaces. With a wide range of colours and Montana spray caps that change the width of the line, one can does everything from thin outlines to large fills.

Surfaces it works on
Walls, concrete, brick, wood, metal, and many other surfaces. Prepare the surface first for the best adhesion.

How to use

1. Prepare the surface so it’s clean, dry, and free of dust, grease, and loose paint.
2. For the best result, prime porous or difficult surfaces first.
3. Shake the can well for at least a minute after the ball starts to rattle.
4. Test on a spare surface to check the colour and spray width.
5. Spray in smooth, even passes. Closer gives thin, sharp lines and further away gives a wider, softer spray.
6. Overlap and layer colours once the first coat is touch dry.
7. After use, turn the can upside down and spray briefly until it runs clear, to keep the nozzle from clogging.

Tips for better results

1. Use different caps for different jobs. A skinny cap for outlines and detail, and a fat cap for fills.
2. Keep the can moving, and avoid spraying heavily in one spot, since that can cause drips.
3. Spray in several thin coats rather than one thick one, for a smooth, even finish.
4. Wear a respirator mask, gloves, and eye protection, and work in a well-ventilated area.
5. Protect the surrounding area from overspray.
6. Store the can upright in a cool place, away from heat and flames.
