Description

Keep your electric eraser working

An electric eraser is one of the most useful tools in a drawing kit. It lifts graphite, charcoal, and coloured pencil with a light touch and no smudging, and it can create sharp highlights and fine details that a normal eraser can’t. The eraser tip wears down with use, and these refills let you replace it, so your tool lasts.

The refills come in two sizes. The thin refill gives you a fine, precise tip for small details, clean lines, and tight spaces. The thick refill covers more area, so you can clean up larger sections and remove heavy marks faster.

Choose your size

Size Best for
Thin Fine detail, sharp highlights, thin lines, small corrections, and tight spaces
Thick Erasing larger areas, removing heavy marks, cleaning up backgrounds, and quick corrections

Many artists keep both sizes on hand: thick for the big clean-up, then thin to refine the details.

Why you’ll like it

  • Lifts graphite, charcoal, and coloured pencil cleanly
  • Lets you create sharp highlights and crisp edges
  • Reduces hand fatigue compared to rubbing with a normal eraser
  • Affordable, so it’s easy to keep spares
  • A practical add-on for artists, students, and draughtspeople

How to change a refill

  1. Switch off the eraser and take out the old eraser stub.
  2. Loosen the chuck at the tip of the eraser, if it has one, and remove the worn refill.
  3. Insert the new refill into the holder, and push it in until it sits firmly.
  4. Tighten the chuck, if there is one, and extend the refill so only a little sticks out.
  5. Test on a scrap of paper before you use it on your drawing.

Tips for better results

  1. Use a light touch and let the eraser do the work. Pressing hard can wear the paper.
  2. Keep the eraser moving, since holding it in one spot can damage the paper.
  3. Extend only a little of the refill from the holder, since a long stub can bend and break.
  4. Clean the tip on a scrap of paper when it fills with graphite, so it keeps erasing cleanly.
  5. Use a sheet of paper under your hand to protect finished work.
  6. Remove the refill when you store the eraser for a long time, so it doesn’t harden in the holder.
  • Refills fit electric erasers with a matching holder size. Check that the refill diameter fits your eraser before you buy, since sizes vary between models.
  • Use on paper that can take light erasing. Very thin or soft paper can wear through.
  • Keep out of reach of young children.
